I have a hard time sleeping at night so I tend to watch scary movies, mostly zombie movies but i ran out of zombie movies I haven’t seen. While watching Rose Red by Stephen King I started a hunt for some really good scary ‘GHOST’ movies. I love movies like; Death Tunnel, Boo, and House on Haunted Hill.
Anyone have any suggestions for a good scary movie about ghost?

I agree with “13 Ghosts”~the original, not the remake. I also agree with the person who lists “Stir of Echoes”, which I liked much better than “The Sixth Sense”.
These films range from chilling to mild but worth watching. I also would suggest this set of Val Lewton-produced movies:
The Curse of the Cat People
    The Body Snatcher (1945)
    I Walked with a Zombie
    The Seventh Victim
    Cat People (1942)
    The Leopard Man
    Isle of the Dead
    Bedlam

    Thir13en Ghosts
It’s actually a really good movie. You’ll like it if you liked Death Tunnel.
I watched that and thought it was pretty bad (no offence).
    Thir13 Ghosts –
Arthur and his two children, Kathy and Bobby, inherit his Uncle Cyrus’s estate: a glass house that serves as a prison to 12 ghosts. When the family, accompanied by Bobby’s Nanny and an attorney, enter the house they find themselves trapped inside an evil machine “designed by the devil and powered by the dead” to open the Eye of Hell. Aided by Dennis, a ghost hunter, and his rival Kalina, a ghost rights activist out to set the ghosts free, the group must do what they can to get out of the house alive.

I liked The Others. Very good movie and suitably creepy. Plays on a fog-bound Jersey.
Then there is The Gathering, which is not about ghosts per se, but the ‘bad’ guys could be viewed as such, and there is the odd flashback with ghostly overtones.
And then of course the previously mentioned Stir of Echoes, which outclasses and outcreeps Sixth Sense effortlessly.
