What Was The Movie In Which A Brother & Sister Found Leeches After Swimming In A River?

I’m certain it’s not Stand By Me, though this particular scene is quite similar. I’m guessing it’s an early 90s movie, they’re on a quest for something, and are swimming in a forested river; when they leave the water they discover there were leeches in it. Any ideas?

They aren’t brother and sister, but that happens to the man.
The African Queen (1951)
starring Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Robert Morley
IMDb synopsis:
September 1914: News reaches the colony German Eastern Africa that its motherland is at war, so Reverend Samuel Sayer becomes a “hostile” foreigner. German imperial troops burn down his mission, driving him mad. Shortly after, his well-educated, spinster sister, Rose Sayer, buries him and leaves by the only available transport, the steamboat African Queen, captained by Charlie Allnut. As if a long difficult journey without any comfort weren’t bad enough for such odd companions, she is determined to find a way to do their bit for the British war effort and to avenge her brother.

At one point, when the boat is in a weedy, swampy region, Charlie goes into the water so that he can pull the boat through to what they hope will be clear water. When he comes out of the water, Rose cries out when she sees a leech, at which time Charlie lifts his shirt to find that there are a number of huge leeches clinging to him, creatures he is deathly afraid of. Yet, after they’re pulled off him, he soon has to go back in the water to continue their progress, knowing more leeches will attack him.
