Since then, no movies have scared me, and supernatural-horror flicks interest me more than freak me out. That being said, realistic acts of violence scenes definitely disturb me because as others have said, they could actually happen to anybody. I'm safe. An alien isn't going to get me. it is something like an induced fear - like riding a roller coaster. But, having said that, i WAS really caught up in John Carpenter's The Thing. Maybe what really gets to me is good suspense. the realistic acts of violence scare me more.
