What Other Movie Editing Software Is There For Windows Xp?

For a while now I’ve been using Windows Movie Maker, and it’s just not working for me anymore.
For some reason it enjoys flipping out and shutting down while I’m making a movie, mainly when I’m trying to put music on it. So what should take like 2 hours to fully finish, takes over about 4 or 5. And half the time most of the music won’t even load.
So what other programs are out there that are free, non trial and is just as good as windows movie maker?

    WMM can be a pain in the butt, as I’m sure you know.
    Try download a trial version of “Sony Vegas”. It’s much more advanced that Movie Maker but has a lot more options for making movies and is a very good tool for making professinal looking videos.

    Sony vegas is very good but its no where near free. Movie maker was free for a reason. Start with a trial and if you become very desperate you can turn to the illegal side and download the full software.
