What Movie Contains A Scene In Which A Boy Asks Another To Tell His Parents That He’s Sorry?

I was watching the Sixth Sense for the second time, and it seemed that a scene that I had seen before was missing. I thought there was a scene in which the boy with a gunshot wound tells the Cole character to let his parents know that he was sorry. However, this scene was neither in the movie nor the deleted scenes. So, obviously, it must have been a different movie. Any help on what that movie was?
