It was so long ago that I saw the movie and i don’t know what it is called. All I remember is two girls beating a woman to death (might have been the mother of one girl) with bricks inside stockings or something.

    Yes, Heavenly Creatures, it is the mother of one of them, and it’s based on a very bizarre true story.
