I find that movie theater food is overpriced and I like to bring my own, cheaper stuff in. What types of food do you eat from outside at the movies?

I love movie theater popcorn so I have to BUY that. But I also love to dip it in the little cups of nacho cheese they sell (for $1.50). I found a 4-pack of the exact same nacho cheese sauce at WalMart for about the same price that they charge for 1! So I heat it up at home, wrap foil around it to keep it warm and stick it in a ziploc in my purse. Works every time.
since the answer deals with avoiding overpriced stuff , going to the convenience store would get you no further ahead, instead I like
to hit the $ dollar store first and stuff my pockets silly with candy and choclates – hey a little melamine dont hurt, and of course smile at the ticket guy just to throw em off abit
I usually bring my own soda and candy.. I sometimes just go out before hand and purchase those small theater size boxes of candy (the same kind the theater sells) its about 99 cents at walgreens or cvs and its a bigger box!!!!
the theater sells theirs for what? 3.50 thats insane, they made triple the profit.
so thats what i do. lol. I just purchase the popcorn there and thats it.
If you go to Target you can get some candy for 1.00
I like recees pieces the most – the chocolate and peanut butter drive me crazy. Twix, 3 musketeers – I avoid sodas cuz they can hear the tops but I have seen people sneak them in none the less.
I sneak in M&MS, bottles of water, bottles of soda (20 oz), potato chips, bags of pre popped microwave popcorn.
Alcoholic drinks. Not available at most movie theaters at any price.
I always bring soda and bottled water. Sometimes we bring candy in but usually we buy popcorn at the movies.
Our theater doesn’t care. We had Domino’s delivered to the theater when we went to see The Watchmen. Awesome movie btw.

I sneak in Raisinettes if I can remember to. Its kind of a tradition for me at the movies.

I sneak in 5 cent candys and whatever else i could shove in mu purse
burritos from taco bell baby!
skittles and chocolate. my friend brought in a small pie once and ate it.
