What Career Options Are There In The Movie Business, And What Do You Need To Study At Uni To Make It Possible?

for many years i have been interested in persuing a career in the movie business. apart from the obvious such as acting, directing and so on, what other options are there? for example, can one study public relations specifically in this field or not? What kind of a school or university is it best to attent if one does wish for a career in the movie industry?

    yes, there are so many jobs in the movie business think of: lighting, set design, costume, make-up artists, choreographer, screen writers, stunt man, stunt coordinator, music selector, and of course public relations.
    Most schools have some kind of drama department (my sister is going to college to be a lighting “woman” int he movie business). It depends on what field you are looking at. Good luck!

    Well there are tons of avenues one can go down in this industry, the best way to get statrted is to find out what you really are looking to do, they usually go the route on interships or seasonal work doing anything from extra work ( pays pretty good and get’s you soem credentials ) to working the sets. So google movie internships, check the classifieds and statrt getting yourself out there, it’s a numbers game the more your name comes across the tomgues of those in the business the better your chances of actually working in it becomes.
