What Are The Healthiest Food Choices At A Movie Theater?
Posted on: December 19, 200911 comments so far (is that a lot?)
I am planning on going to see a movie tomorrow and don’t want to get off of my diet. What are my options? I know movie theater food isn’t good for us, but I rarely go and it is a bit of an “experience” for me. Any ideas?

I agree with the gum and water/diet coke comment. The theater is a dangerous place to eat as we get so caught up in the movie we forget about all the food we are consuming in the dark.
Just sneak in a healthy snack for yourself in your purse or just buy a “kids” popcorn and drink. This way, once your finished you won’t be consuming extra calories. Btw, “fat free” anything is misleading. A bag of sugar is fat free does that mean it’s good for you? Stick with the popcorn.

Eat before you go; not only to avoid the calories but because they soak you on the cost!

Everyone’s saying unbuttered popcorn and water/diet soda but just the salt in the popcorn alone is going to make you puff up and retain water.
If you’ve been doing well on your diet, a regular soda is fine (but water IS better). Twizlers are fat free.
Have fun at the movies!

Popcorn, without butter or salt, is probably the healthiest theater food. But I don’t consider it very tasty that way.

At theaters here they sell apple slices and caramel and also veggies and dip. For a drink..water is the way to go. pocorn is always yummy but without the butter.

Probably just the water, and unsalted, unbuttered popcorn.
Eat a big meal of healthy stuff before you go (get stuffed) so that you aren’t tempted to eat the unhealthy stuff.

I take gum with me; they don’t seem to object to that. I get a bottle of water or a diet soda. The pop corn does smell good, and if you do get it, just don’t let them add butter.

A PICKLE WOULD BE GOOD OR A TOOTISE POP BUT ONLY ONE OR TWO!!!

Popcorn without butter – 3 cups only has 60 calories! If you need butter, use it in moderation. And a diet soda has 0 calories.
