What Are The Differences Between Tommy The Movie And The Original Show?

Hola everybody. So my school is doing Tommy by The Who for our annual musical, and I don’t know that much about it. I’ve heard of it before, but I’ve never heard the songs or anything. I know there are a lot of differences between the movie and the original show (at least I’ve heard that), but I haven’t gotten a chance to see the play yet, only the movie. Does anybody know what the main differences are?

The original starred Roger Daltrey, Ann Margaret the bean sequence, even the pinball wizard was Elton John wearing the huge humongous shoes and big glasses. There were a lot of special effects in the movie, like the acid queen, played by Tina Turner. At the end of the movie all the pin balls thousands of them everywhere. Really good music by the Who.
