How To Record A Movie Played On Computer To The Computer?

The title might be a little confusing, but I’ll explain it here.
I bought a DVD, which was a band DVD. It has the band playing live, but then there are like extras that you can watch. I want to somehow record the extras and be able to place it on Windows Movie Maker. How do I do that?
