I need help downloading you tube videos on to my computer, then to my windows movie maker. I need a program that can convert the youtube video into a file that can be imported into my windows movie maker. Please help I need to make a montage to my project.

I *HIGHLY* recommend dvdvideosoft.com not only does it have a downloader program I use to back up my videos, but there is an mp3 extractor, and many other *optional* features all for free such as ipod formatting, they’re always updating it. (and good updates, but not essential, you can opt out) its easy to use. ITS FREE
Also, when your downloading, I’ve noticed that I’ll upload a video in HD, and want a copy back, before I take it down, but when I download it, its fuzzy, add &fmt=22 to the end of the url it will increase the donloaded video’s quality, 8 and 16 are also good, allegedly 8 is the command for a good video, 16 is HQ and 22 is HD, but I don’t know.

hey, i usually convert youtube flv video to avi or wmv so that i can import it to WMM. lol
check this program WinX Video Converter.
import the video downloaded from youtube and choose “to wmv” or “to avi” and click start. intuitive and practical.

You can try http://vixy.net (that site donloads and converts the video, then sends a download link to you by email) or if you have Firefox, you can install the DownloadHelper plugin (this adds a download button at the top corner of the video on YouTube).

You no need to download any software to convert flv files (youtube videos) to wma format (Windows Media player) format.
Use Mozilla Firefox and download add-on related to youtube.
