How Can I Preserve A Movie Poster To Hang On The Wall?

I have several movie posters that I would love to hang on my walls. The problem is, they’re too large for a lamination machine and I don’t want to watch them be damaged over time. Is there some way I can encase these posters in plastic or something to keep them looking new? One of them is a collector’s item that I got for free from a video store. Help?

You can get frames at an art supply store. There is a cardboard back and you put the poster on this, then put the plexiglas front on and clip the sides on.

I have some vintage print art that I took to a frame shop. It could be pricey but if you love it, it’s totally worth it and they will look sharp.

Many frame shops and arts and crafts shops (like Joann Etc, Michaels, Hobby Lobby if you have them nearby) sell poster frames. They have plastic instead of glass, and they are very affordable…and by that I mean in the $10-$20 range.
But if you have posters you think will be very valuable, it’s best not to use the poster frames unless you can be assured that they are acid and lignin free (will cause the paper to yellow over time).
Either get them professionally framed with Conservation Grade materials, or buy more expensive frames and mats from a source that specializes in archival quality products, like Light Impressions Direct. Find them online at http://LightImpressionsDirect.com/
